Even in real live a sieve sieves ... it doesn't think. The adjustment might be a sieve net hole size ... = all you get out, have to be sorted after the process.

for my server problem now, I force gamer to take that chest (with losses) into a unused section, and set on that spot a new chest (with new number). I have still no clue why some, and others not ...

This isn't my problem such machines i built already. My problem is that i have a new gravel-sort which can't sieved because there is no register-function.

There is no recipe for propane cylinder. You have to fill the gas cylinder with propane by means of a pump.

What I do exactly.
First, right-click TA4 Electronic Fab block. Menu subscreen opens.
Second, with in-menu arrows, I scroll recipes:
Recipe: 1/4 Wlan Chip
Recipe: 2/4 RAM Chip
Recipe: 3/4 TA4 LEDs
Recipe: 4/4 TA5 AI Chip
Since recipe 4/4 is last one, I cannot scroll further to get TA5 AI Chip 2.
What's wrong?

Finally did it. With empty cylinder on hand (active inventory), right-clicking on gas tank gives full cylinder. Right clicking full cylinder on tank empties it. No pump involved. Maybe the operation could be mentioned in manual.

I'm close to knowing manual by heart :-(()) Manual says:
"60 experience points are required to OPERATE the fusion reactor"...
"The TA5 AI Chip... requires 10 experience points"
Manual has no word about AI Chip2, and specifically the fact that is NOT available in TA4 Electronic Fab MENU unless player has 50 experience points. I can mistake and the digit can be 40 points, I did not check between 30 and 50. Now with 50 points I can finally see it, and produce it.
Thanks for the tip anyway, together we have reached the understanding.

Update: I had the Mesecons mod installed. I didn't realize that it's incompatible. I did search this topic before posting, but I didn't understand "doesn't integrate well with" meant that it breaks it. I uninstalled the mod and now everything works 😅

Is there any way to make silicon lumps (for silicon wafers)?

I've really been enjoying the progression of playing with Tech Age in my singleplayer survival world and I've reached the point where I want to make a TA4 Distributor (techage:ta4_distributor_pas) which needs a WLAN Chip (techage:ta4_wlanchip). The WLAN Chip needs a Silicon Wafer (techage:ta4_silicon_wafer) which needs a Baborium Ingot (techage:baborium_ingot) and 3x Silicon Lump (basic_materials:silicon).

The problem is that there's no recipe for basic_materials:silicon.

I tried substituting mesecons_materials:silicon which has a recipe (3 sand + 1 steel ingot) and a similar image, but I get a recipe error in the TA3 Furnace.

I used /giveme basic_materials:silicon to get the right item and I was able to make silicon wafers with no problem.

Am I missing something?

I added a recipe for wafers with "mesecons_materials:silicon". This should solve the problem.

With mesecons installed, I had both Silicon (mesecons_materials:silicon) and Silicon Lump (basic_materials:silicon) in the list of nodes, but the only one with a recipe to craft it was the mesecons one. That didn't work in the furnace to make the silicon wafer. The node and recipe list I'm using is part of the i3 inventory mod. The image for both silicons was very similar, but not identical.

Without mesecons, I only have basic_materials:silicon and everything works fine.

My mods are all installed from ContentDB using the in-game interface. I'm not sure about the versions, but I don't have basic_materials installed independently. It came with the Techage Modpack.

Thank you for your reply. I might check out your server. I'm American, but I live in Malaysia (long story). My time zone is an hour different from Thailand.

With mesecons installed, the 3 sand / sandgroup and a steel ingot recipe got me the mesecons version of the silicon which didn't work in the TA3 furnace. It's possible that I have less compatible versions of the mods installed. I've installed everything from ContentDB via the Minetest client UI.

WE need to write more exact now, as I get on my server

so write the full name = mod:item/node

and a search for 'furnace' at search deliver me 7 results, including the 3 TA3_furnace_xxx options,
but none of them show me silicon in the first direct receipt ... so I am confused
TA3_furnace show need Usmium Nugget, Steel Ingot, TA3 Vacuum Tube and Furnace (8 stone version)

and to be sure search for all usages of basic_materials:silicon does also not show any usage in a techage item/node so far

Techage is not enough for you? Then you can try TA ESPE, the first expansion that adds machines to Techage.

a player build a ta4_chest, and another 90 degrees turned on top
another several same ta4_chest are nearby an work, are accessible, that two not !
but this two now show (F5 debug) : ta4_chest_dummy

we are not able to dig them, nor admin or digtron

I was not able to reproduce this bug.
But playing around I found another issue with the ta4_chest.
