[Mod] Calendar [1.1.3] [calendar]

by Wuzzy » Post

Calendar

This mod is an API mod (meant to be used by game and other mods) that adds a simple calendar system to track the passage of days. The calendar supports days, weeks, months and years. Holidays are also supported. The calendar system allows a bit of customization, you can choose your own month length, month names, week lengths, weekday names.

By default, a year has 12 months an each month has 30 days and each week has 7 days. This is intentional.

Also, a simple formspec is available (seen above) to make the calendar visible.

For more information, see the README.md file.

License of everything: LGPLv3.
Download: Version 1.1.3.
Dependendies: None.
Minetest compability: 0.4.17 or later.

Version 1.0.0 released! I consider this mod stable now. No changes were made, except a typo fix.

The Calendar API now supports custom holiday colors.

I am very proud to say that this mod has been added to the JT2 server! :D

Version 1.1.1

Version 1.1.1 released!
This fixes a bug in the API that caused the show_calendar setting 'changable="months"' to be not properly functional (players still were able to change the year indirectly, with the month buttons).

Hey, I just downloaded your Mod, I'm quite impressed. But I'm really, really noob with mods and didn't understand the API.md on how to configure the calendar. Can you explain me like I'm a 3 year old, where can I type the commands? I used a LuaController, but got an error "attempt to index global 'minetest' (a nil value)".

Thanks in advance

I just wanted to chime in that this is really good mod, and highly recommended on any server :)

I was using this for a couple weeks on JT2, but then decided to fork it so I could add some additional features specific to my game. I hope to have it re-deployed again soon. Just trying to juggle too many different projects.

In the calendar mod, when it gets to February it has either 30 or 31 days for that month, I don’t know if that’s been fixed or not

In this mod, all months have an equal number of days. Months have 30 days by default, and there are 12 months in a year, just like in the JT2 server. But these numbers, including the month names, can be customized by the game.
