[Mod] ClimaZ [climaz]
Re: Climatez [climatez] (v1.2)
v1.3
- Added a "climate_period" setting, this is a minimum waiting time between weather changes. This is important for multiplayer mode, because the chances of players in the same area were multiplied all together, so it was more likely to rain/snow in crowded areas of a city.

Re: Climatez [climatez] (beta 7)
I hope, you are going to use it eventually. It's not perfect, but it's easier to configure mod directly from game.
Here is some description:
https://github.com/minetest/minetest/bl ... gtypes.txt
Reading is easy as, eg.
value = minetest.settings:get("setting_name") or "default_value"
value_boolean = minetest.settings:get_bool("setting_name", true)
Re: Climatez [climatez] (v1.9)
Are there any commands to change the weather manually?
Re: Climatez [climatez] (v1.9)
v1.10
- Added "climatez stop [player_name]" command [server priv].
-- It removes the effects of the current climate for the invoker player or another. The player_name is optional (command caller by default).
-- Note that the climate is not removed, but its effects.

Re: Climatez [climatez] (v1.10)
v1.11
- Refactor of the code: minetest.after replaced by climate object timers.
- Changed the climatez stop behaviour.
-- If not player_name defined: The climate is stopped for all the players inside that climate.
-- If player_name defined: The effects of the climate are disabled only for that particular player. The other players are not afected. The climate is not stopped.

Re: Climatez [climatez] (v1.11)
v1.12
- New command: 'climatez start'
-- A new climate will be forced.
-- If a previous climated was active, will be disabled. This change probably won't be noticeable, maybe the wind.
-- Note that the type of the climate forced will be the suitable for that kind of biome.

Re: Climatez [climatez] (v1.16)
I had a look at your mod and it looks like a solid weather mod.
Given how lightweight this version is, I can see how some people might prefer it. It should be able to run on most potato PC's and still result in pleasing visuals, which is what most people are after.
With that said, I do feel a little bit ripped off, though. I do not mind other people expanding on my ideas or even my code. But it would've been nice to be mentioned at least, given how you're reusing my ideas regarding localized weather, hud overlays for sandstorms, etc. I'll take that as an honest mistake. I am more bugged about the mod's name. "climate" is of course a rather descriptive term for localized weather, so I do not claim any rights to that. I would still ask you respectfully to think of something other than "climatez" because it will confuse people into mixing up both of our mods. That, of course, cannot be in either of our interests. I would like to talk to people about my mod without explicitly having to state that I'm not talking about this one. And you would surely want to be able to do the same.
