[Mod] Power Generators [0.8.0] [power_generators]

This mod add power generators to the Minetest world.

Electric engines for shafts can be powered from technic, elepower, techage and factory mod too.

More types of power generators will be probably added in future.
This mod is based on appliances mod and register power_generators_power power supply type via appliances mod.

Power generators have been updated to version 0.5.1.
  • Fix crash when placing electric junction.
  • Fix player inventory size in Hades Revisited.
  • Update active texture for emergency generator with a controller.

Power generators have been updated to version 0.6.0.
  • Auto enable timer for electric junction box if it is required.
  • Update for new appliances mod version.
  • Add core for shaft power. Support for grease (with farming redo mod), support for inspect_tool mod.

Power generators have been updated to version 0.7.0.
  • Added combustion 6 cylinder engine.
  • Added alternator (change rpm to electric power depends on rpm)
  • Added sounds for shaft machines.
  • Bug fixes.

SFENCE,

Any chance you could add stu's gears mod elements, or something that will work for them to become "power generators"? There is also the watermill mod that could use some compatibility.

I can't promise anything.
But I know about some watermill and windmill mods, and I will probably try to add something like it in the future.
For support of stu's gears mod, I will probably have to operate with a direction of rotation to prevent some visual issues. So it is not actually on my program.

Actually only chair lift mod uses shaft power from power generators, so I will probably prioritize adding more machines powered by this.

  • Fix compatibility with updated appliances.
  • Added electric power_meter and charger. Register battery_supply.
  • Added combustion engine-powered tools API.

Hi.

I have forked gear3d ( https://github.com/sfence/gear3d ) and new branch v2.

it definitely will not be back-compatible.

Actually, it includes only the small wood shaft, shaft adapter (changing steel shaft into wood one), or opposite and small wood spur gear.
So it is like some proof of concept of gear3d compatible with power generators.

I expect problems with models because I will need a broken version of all nodes with an exception for the wood shaft node/nodes.

And my Blender skills and missing interest in 3d modeling...
So it will not be so easy to finish and it really takes much more time.
