[Mod] Unbreakable Blocks (anti-griefing) [unbreakable]

This is something that every creative server needs to have in some form or another.
This mod provides roughly 100 unbreakable, non-falling, non-flammable and non-decaying blocks from the default game and from some of the most popular mods.

This mod was inspired by a big problem that almost every server faces: griefing. Protection mods are great, but they require some work to set up. Revoking the "interact" privilege is another reliable way to prevent griefing...but that just makes your server boring and unattractive to other players.

Unbreakable nodes simplify the process of protecting a server / building from damage from griefers, as once placed, they can only be dug with special tools (see below).

Nonetheless, I still recommend that protection mods (see links below) are used in conjunction with the unbreakable nodes, as they do an excellent job of preventing players from placing or removing nodes.

unbreakable includes nodes from the following mods:
- default
- moreblocks (by Calinou)
- terrariumblocks (by Fifi)
- octublock (by octupuslegs)
- stonebricks (by Chinchow)
- prefab (by Dan Duncombe)

Also, included in this mod is an "Admin Pickaxe" (idea and code taken from Calinou's maptools mod).
The Admin Pickaxe instantaneously digs any node (including unbreakable ones, and even chests that contain items). NEVER give this to a griefer.

**NOTICE**
All credit goes to the original creators of these mods. All I did was change the "groups".
I made sure to check the licenses of each of these mods before including them to ensure that they were "free" to modify and redistribute. However, if one of the creators of one of the aforementioned mods wishes for me to remove their work from unbreakable, please let me know and I will do so as soon as possible.


I do not have crafting recipes for any of the unbreakable nodes, nor for the Admin Pickaxe (they are mainly meant to be used by admins, not regular players). They are available through the /giveme command, and have the same name as their original counterparts (eg - unbreakalbe stone is "unbreakable:stone" instead of "default"stone").

I am going to be gradually adding more blocks to this mod in the future, so check back for updates!

Interesting mod. Well, you don't need to set any groups of those nodes. Just add a tool which removes all nodes which it points to with "minetest.remove_note(pos)".

You'll need to add licenses of all textures into your init.lua

While protection mods are quite reliable, it is still possible for unwanted intruders to break a hole through a protected wall in your house and slip through before the game "repairs" it (due to server lag), allowing the intruder to steal whatever valuables are in your house.

If you put everything in locked chests your curious neighbours shouldn't be a problem any more...

Wait. I didn't get it really. There's nothing to steal in a cretive server. Every good (protection) mod protects from stealers and griefers.

Wait. I didn't get it really. There's nothing to steal in a cretive server. Every good (protection) mod protects from stealers and griefers.



Actually, that is a good point. However, some griefers simply wish to destroy other peoples' buildings and creations just for the sheer "joy" of pissing people off (which is the problem that creative servers face). In that case, this mod would be very helpful.

There's no point in using this mod on a creative server. The only reason why you might not want people to visit your house is because you might be afraid of people stealing from furnaces or technic machines. Using locked versions of furnaces and technic ought to help there.

There might be other uses for this mod: If you for example want to contain the players in some part of the map (while i.e. working on another part, or because the story only happens there), or if you need a jail. Special maps that focus on one particular advanture and which would fail if the player just diggs through the wall might also benefit a lot from this mod.

For the rare occasions where players ought to be kept from one tiny spot, perhaps one (or at max two) block(s) with a suitable texture would be more than sufficient. Players who are afraid that others may see their buildings ought to play singleplayer.

I guess I could have done a better job with wording the description.
This mod is mainly designed to prevent other players from damaging your creations without the need to remove their interact privilege or use a protection mod.

For example, as is the case with my server, I have a very large building that's basically the "center point" of the server (in other words, it gets a lot of attention). I simply created it mostly out of unbreakable nodes so that visitors could not damage it.
