Nations could have guest cards that protect visitors that have them from the nations' turrets, but disable the visitors' abilities to interact with nodes and harm other players as long as they have the cards.

Added shield generators
They run on plasma and dilithium crystals, they have a range of 20 nodes.
You get plasma with the dual tank, by pumping in lava (top), and adding mese. The dilithium crystal go in the shield generators' inventory. You cannot place a shieldgen within 40 meters of another players' shieldgen. You can combine shield bubbles, though upon shutdown/failure of one of the generators, the nearest one will attempt to compensate.
Due to the realms being temporarily off limits, i've added dilithium ore to the default mapgen, though you may need to dig deep or further than what's been generated.
Still experimental, please report bugs/unusual behavior.
Node Protection
I've implemented node protection for Nations (groups). I won't grant individual zones. The area is defined by x, z and applies to all elevations. I've also disabled turrets, sentries and proximity alarms.

I decided it would be easier to re-use the plasma texture (one less new texture to load too). Though i changed it from green to blue to match the show more closely, and yes it's animated like lava :-)
