Java was only meant to be there for consideration. If you thought i want a java browser game then your crazy. I got google chrome and from what i heard it supports irrlicht. Sadly only chrome supports it. So the topic was meant to go from any one of those to irrlicht on chrome. Sorry non chrome users.

Wrong, Assembler is faster.

And, one writing their executable byte by byte in machine code has full control of their code's execution and has many options for doing interesting things to get it to run faster. I think this is the method "real" programmers use…

Nah pointless and not worth the effort, it should stay as it is. its portable anyway so stick it on a usb stick and play it from that if you use multiple computers and are to lazy to download it again.

Just because Minecraft has a browser version doesn't mean Minetest should, It would be better if developers dedicated there time for fixing bugs, adding features and improving the game rather than wasting time on building a browser based version for no reason what-so-ever other than "Minecraft has it, So we should too" or laziness.

Wanna redo Minetest in JS (without Emscripten)? Why not with the help of http://voxeljs.com/ ?

There's no point to compare MT to MC from this angle. MC have a browser version only because java is embed-able into html. And chrome-only solution isn't that good at all. Besides, dannydark is right - we can always play from a flash drive anywhere :)

Using Internet Explorer and stuff.

Firefox is actually used in countries where it is targeted. That's great work, Mozilla!

7:42 PM - Bauglio: I think if you go to staples you could steal firmware from a fax machine that would run better than win10 does on any platform
7:42 PM - Bauglio: so fudge the stable build
7:43 PM - Bauglio: get the staple build
