A few screenshots showing what to expect would be nice. And it would be great if the mod could be downloaded. If you're not familiar with github, just use forum attachment. That's very practical for everyone :-)

I'd like to have the Realtest trees as a mod for "normal" Minetest and am generally intrested in decorative landscape (with trees), so I'd appreciate a working download.

Well, I've found some fails/weird things:

1) Every .lua file is doubled, but with an "~" at the end (!?)
2) "birtch"
3) "PineWood", space missing?
4) tree models missing (as you already said)

At all, right now is this mod only useful in creative mod or for a needed MC-feeling.

I didn't test this mod but.. ..If it is using also MC textures, then it will be not legal IMHO..

Just a quick FYI: I've taken a look at the code. This mod is a stripped-down copy of my Moretrees mod, with some code added (trees.lua) that I don't recognize.

Why did you import (what are presumably) unlicensed textures instead of just keeping the cc-by-sa ones already in Moretrees? If you're gonna fork, at least fork legally, ffs.

Have you ever looked at the game mode known as Realtest Revamped? The trees in it would be a good source of inspiration for you.

What made your attempt illegal wasn't using my code (which was WTFPL, and hence quite legal to use), but the fact that you sourced your textures from MC. Those are copyrighted by you-know-who and are, as far as I know, all-rights-reserved, which for MC essentially means "You can't use these in anything at all, hell you can't even look at them without paying a fee, so sod off".
