Would you be interested in teaching VanessaE about this feature? She might make use of it in her texture packs if you did.Jordach wrote:I can even support mods that would be impossible even with natural generation.rubenwardy wrote:That is cool, Jordach. Well done.

actually teach the rest of us what you just learned while the process is still fresh - put a tutorial on the wiki. That would be pretty cool and improving the Blender page on the wiki while you're at it would be even cooler ;-PJordach wrote: ...

Almost...
Remember the center of this image.
Looking down from it.
Somehow I can't reproduce the terrain 1:1, maybe there's salt somewhere.

Those seem to match if you 'mirror-image' one left to right.Krock wrote:Somehow I can't reproduce the terrain 1:1, maybe there's salt somewhere.

I use tilable blur to ensure that it doesn't use the wrong colour for an extrusion, such as cement instead of the sides of a brick.rubenwardy wrote:HOT.Jordach wrote:So here's some gravel at 512px + height maps + normals.

Re: Post your screenshots!
Very nice work! Feel free to propose that for upstream inclusion, it's an update which IMO should be added to minetest_game at this date. Especially since my sliding legs animation error was never committed either.Jordach wrote:I use tilable blur to ensure that it doesn't use the wrong colour for an extrusion, such as cement instead of the sides of a brick.

If I can offer some advice however, you could also include the armor layers, used by the 3D armor mod. See the modified player.blend file there, for how the objects and materials are made. That could make things easier, and facilitate other armor mods.
[EDIT] Actually, why not make the clothing separate materials to begin with? If for example the player isn't wearing head armor, the skin's hat is used. If the player puts on a helmet, it's replaced with the helmet texture. Makes sense especially since you wouldn't see hair behind the helmet normally.

Is possible to make any color (1 pixel) to load a structure on the map ?Krock wrote:Thanks!
