Mese pick
Mese pick
Maybe someone can disagree but i think mese pick spoils th gameplay like if you go to underground get 3 meses you can be like a god and do everything like a freaking ninja ... i think mese should be VERY rare and thats not it it shouldnt be 0 seconds for 1 block it should be at least like 0.5 or smth i dunno. But i hope you get my point !
I love mods
Maybe the mese rarity should remain the same but just make it so it doesn't insta-break blocks, maybe a superpickaxe type command could be added which would give the insta-break ability or something like the sorts, I think as it stands mese pickaxe is something that would be cool to have in a creative server but not survival.
with regards to the flying just disabling noclip should be enough to stop people getting to mese so quickly, I think c55 has listed in the planning list that flying could have server side prevention so it would be a permission based feature (I think) which means mese should be harder to get in future versions anyway for people without permission to use it ^_^

I could share it, but my client is currently a messy merge between some minetest-delta branches; a rather ugly hack to work around a frequent segmentation fault; some feature branches that are not yet merged into the minetest master branch and of course the quick and dirty patches to get this mix even compiled.
I've also some other commands in my client. Some of which don't even make sense, like being able to mine water (which does not work, because the server does not allow it). Some other commands might be useful, like client side teleporting, which works regardless whether you've teleport permission; picking up mice and other 'active objects' by merely pointing them with your mouse (which I created to counter rat-bomb griefing).
But the cheat which I use most, allows me to mine cubes of various sizes (up to 16x16x16 (which is what I chose as the limit)) and that would be a disaster in the hands of a griefer. Much worse than the damage that can be done by being able to mine 4 times as fast as with mese pick, without even needing a mese pick.
So I don't want to share my code as-is. Not without proper protection against grieving.
I've planned to re-write the commands properly when the next official version is released with the new chat box. Maybe then I'll share some of them.

i have the same problem: i made lua bindings for stuff like "goforward", "turnleft", "digblock", "putblock" (and many others), then i wrote some lua script to iteratively build or dig stuff (such as walls, rooms, cubes and so on). but someone could destroy and entire world if not promptly banned...bcmpinc wrote:that would be a disaster in the hands of a griefer.
