The Realm of 3D Mobs

by Gambit » Post

Was pretty bored today and decided to cook up some simple 3D models of the mobs we all know and sorta love. Nothing official, but since we're getting to the point of 3D player model being put into the engine, I'd figured why not.

looks good (not what they look like but the idea) it should be implemented with better 3d models :p
I like to debate.

Some MLP mobs, but they could also be just normal horses too. Just a little fun.
No textures for this one yet. :(

Could you please publish the mesh files? 3ds, md3, b3d or something like that. I'm playing around with my experimental 3d mesh file support and need some experimental meshes.
I'd be verry happy too see these great animals :D

Player model (inspired by this really well made animation "Revenge" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPJUBQd-PNM and this "Revenge - Behind the Scenes" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aj_eaclFPWE) for my silly game made in Blender Game Engine

Image

the double body is for clothes, armor, helmets, etc, and some facial animation.

Sure, can you use .lwo? Cause that's what it is so far. Not sure if I can export/convert it to .3ds, md3, or b3d (I'll check on that later.)

I tried to do that in my attempt, but I couldn't figured it out. However, I doubt the MineTest engine could support cel shading. It'll be pretty awesome if it did.

But I like your stuff too. That's why made this thread, to bring out some 3D models.

I don't think so, this is a simple trick that APPEARS to be cell shading, see here how this is done, this should work in minetest

How well did Blender work with the .lwo files? Did the pivots work properly?

And what about that DM you made? It looks like a lot of blocks there. Were you trying to make something entirely new with it?

it has only 12 blocks, I've designed it in this way to avoid the minecraft style. Is just my interpretation of how the DM should be in 3D.

That is great. The DM looks like a bear or yhetti, would you ever consider making a shark?

Should who make a shark? I thought about making one the other night. I'll see if I could take a crack at it.

It may take a while since I'm having with trouble with my connection.
