by jp » Post

Work Bench

A simple workbench for cutting up to 12 shapes, repair your tools, craft items and store.

All solid blocks from all mods are automatically cuttable in the workbench.

This mod is originating from X-Decor (license : GPLv3).

Depends : default, stairs (included in the default game).

A simple and nice looking formspec. Well done!
This is a good alternative when people don't want to install moreblocks to get the circular saw.
Look, I programmed a bug for you. >> Mod Search Engine << - Mods by Krock - DuckDuckGo mod search bang: !mtmod <keyword here>

@jp: Your workbench mod is nice. I like the micro blocks, but not the nano blocks. It would be cool if you could make it configurable what shapes your workbench should create and also what kind of materials could be used e.g. other blocks from other mods. :)

Already easily configurable : https://github.com/minetest-mods/workbe ... it.lua#L17

As I said, all solid blocks (without formspecs or explosivity) from all mods are automatically detected at start-up to be allowed to be cut.

Okay but why do you exclude wool? I mean it is also solid or at least walkable node. But you were right it is easy to configurate! :D

Because there would have too much nodes to register (15 nodes of wool * 12 nodeboxes = 180 nodes).

However you can include them by removing "def.groups.wool" here.

Hey jp, have to say im big fan of your mod!

I was talking to our beloved admin at Xanadu, and he told that we cant use this nice mod, as you're using players own crafting grid to make items...
Problem is that we're gonna move to 2x2 grid and your mod would also use that, and that combo doesnt work too well :)

Could you consider add your own 3x3 crafting grid to work bench?

Cheers, iska

I might consider that if the functionality remains fast-paced.

2x2 crafting has been dropped from Xanadu and 3x3 the norm on server.

Hi. I registered the meselamp in the workbench. But the cut out nodes don't shine. Why?
