[Mod]Horror mod
I have been working on a mod that adds some horror themed stuff to minetest.
The mod includes:
>flowing blood
>animated nodes
>decorative objects(such as a radio and telephone)
>spikes and a spiky fence
>particle spawning nodes
>a meat cleaver
>edible cockroaches
>dead trees and prickly pear
>a funny brown creature(his name is Gnorm)
>permanent darkness (it is always dawn)
Mobs:
>hell baron
>Pinky demon
>Cyberdemon
>Lost soul
>Mancubus
>Cacodemon
>Imp
>Demon
>Birdy(bird monster)
>zombie dragon
>ghost
>werewolf
>axe armour
>giant spider
>mothman
>mogall
>manticore
>shadow monster
>giant centipede
>skeleton
Update:
6/10/16:
>added hell barons(better looking demons)
2/10/16:
>prickly pears now spread
>ghosts occasionally drop "ghost rings" which can be used to tame them
>added skeletons
26/8/16:
>added prickly pear and dead trees
>the radio now has sound(rightclick to play music)
>cyberdemons are harder to fight
>explosive attacks can be disabled in mobs.lua (set destructive to false)
>flint and steel will place fire from this mod instead of normal fire.
16/8/16:
>Added rapier and pitchfork
>Added decorative skull and table
>Improved the candles
>Added blood bucket
>Changed the 6-legged spider to a normal spider
13/8/16:
>Added cacodemon, and werewolf.
>Changed flying skulls to lost souls
10/8/16:
>added cyberdemon, birdie(bald bird monster), and ghost.
>fixed spawning
>toughened up the mobs
30/7/16:
>added pinky demon and mogall.
>changed the lavastone texture
Older:
>added candlestick, another gargoyle, and corner decorations
>added mobs; demon, zombie dragon, axe armour, flying skull, mothman, sam head, manticore, centipede, and a 6-legged spider
>added a vignette overlay
There are a few things I left out of the mod:
>stone stairs
>sound for the speakers and telephone
>four-legged insect (plantlike node)
>owl
>red/black sky
If anyone wants me to add these, let me know
dependencies: default, mobs_redo?

The brown dude looks funny :-) Can't he be less grumpy and more friendly to players? Could be very decorative in non-horror-games as well.

You could use an object as pupil (and iris).
Just spawn the object and make it accelerate to the position where it should be currently, see https://github.com/HybridDog/linemaker/ ... t.lua#L135

I haven't been able to make a wallmounted face...
But I did make Sam's head. Don't upset Sam or he will chase you.
There are also lots of other monsters, a few new nodes and a vignette.

You have many fine mobs. I see you've added mobs.lua to this. What about, instead, separating the mobs into a modpack - perhaps along with dmobs mod - and depending on horror_mobs, and mobs mod?
