Re: [0.4.14] Spring release, announcing feature freeze
Maaaan, why do you keep adding strings even when release is very close? Does nobody think of the translators? :O
Yes, it just happened again.
The whole “decication” strings in the credits section are new, probably have been added after the Weblate strings have been pulled and maybe those are not even marked for translation. (But I do think this dedication is very attentive. You should have come up with the idea earlier. Or remove the strings from Minetest, and write it in release announcement instead.).

Re: [0.4.14] Spring release, announcing feature freeze
Will the change list be updated when 0.4.14 releases? Or is there more up to date information elsewhere?

So where do we get this when it's released? Compile from github?

Once stable is updated it will be built for various system and pushed to the downloads page, as well as several distros' package repos.

If you're on a *buntu Linux, the PPA is minimal effort and gets updates on the day of release.
Re: [0.4.14] Spring release, announcing feature freeze
But not all options are compiled, like redis support.AnxiousInfusion wrote:If you're on a *buntu Linux, the PPA is minimal effort and gets updates on the day of release.

Re: [0.4.14] Spring release, announcing feature freeze
Release? Its the 11th...
Re: [0.4.14] Spring release, announcing feature freeze
The release has been delayed due to a blocker bug. Current target is the 14th, but the release might happen earlier or later depending on when the bug can be fixed.

Release process starts today (Sunday) but we need someone to check Windows builds on MSVC, talk to us in IRC freenode #minetest-dev channel.

Re: [0.4.14] Spring release, announcing feature freeze
You need an IRC chat client, such as XChat, to be able to speak in dev channel.

Re: [0.4.14] Spring release, announcing feature freeze
I'd recommend Hexchat over Xchat, as the former is maintained and up to date.

Sadly, Minetest does not run on iOS.

You only have to compile it, in a way that runs in iOS...
Likely you make a way to compile it in Android
Have a nice day! :D

Whilst you can technically run minetest on android, you are not legally allowed to put it on the app store. Please do not encourage devs that put ad ridden versions on illegally

Re: [0.4.14] Spring release, announcing feature freeze
Wait, what? Minetest is banned from Google Play? Are you sure? What for? If you would have said it was for iOS, then I would have immediately believed you (“Ewwww! Free software. We don't want that.”). But Google Play? No way!rubenwardy wrote:Whilst you can technically run minetest on android, you are not legally allowed to put it on the app store. But in any case, there is also F-Droid for Android.
