Jungle trees destroying protected areas?

Is there any way to stop jungle trees from growing through protected areas (protector redo)?
-redblade7, admin of: THE CREATIVE GARDENS (creative), THE VALLEYS (sandbox), and THE DIGITAL FARMS (farming/hunger/shops)

In latest MTGame you cannot place a sapling if the resulting tree will grow into a protected volume https://github.com/minetest/minetest_game/pull/1208
