How to die, respawn or get to start

If I am at some deep deep place (-3000) and a lot of hard blocks around, no way to dig out until 2020, is there a possibility to die or respawn at some starting point? It looks, like I have no hearts left, but i still did not die, when i felt into that hole.

If it is your local server, then you may use "teleport" command. Just type

You can also suicide yourself. You do not lose items on death currently.
