D00Med - I was surprised I couldn't find other one way windows like this when I looked, so it had to be done.
mahmutelmas06 - though I often prefer "thin" windows myself, I won't be changing these from full nodes. The original set of nodes for this mod have been present on some servers for over a year, so that wouldn't be fair. I know there are other mods that add plain stained glass nodes, and so I could have just done the other types, but the plain ones just make sense to me, and are also vital for another mod I'll be posting here soon.
Hi Fixer - since people seem to want this, I will look at adding it as an optional extra that can be enabled (instead of as a replacement for the current nodes). If I don't get to it today, it might be after the holidays.
EDIT - Coloured glass panes will be a separate mod. Will post a thread for it later today.
Very nice textures. As with doors, decorative windows can improve houses a lot. One-way windows are also a nice idea. Such a nicely colored window here and there in a house...that could be something :-)
TumeniNodes - most portholes I saw didn't open. I don't think I want these to either way. It wouldn't really add much, and would feel a bit like making things fiddley for no real reason.
Ghost - please share a screenshot when you're done! I still miss seeing your buildings. :)
I looked at the code, but I'm not sure how one-way glass works. Is it simply looking at each face and because the inside is transparent it allows light to pass? The issue I'm seeing is that light from the inside still passes through causing a weird effect at night where, for seemingly no good reason, part of an apparently solid wall is illuminated. I realize that real one-way glass actually allows you to see through if there is more light from behind, but would it be possible to prevent this from happening here?
You can only decide if light passes through a node or not; there is no way to have one way movement of light. This means removing the ability for light to travel from inside a hidden room would also prevent light from moving into it from outside.
