hi sorry to be a pain again but guess what I'm having issues

again

I updated the mod pack too the newest version to get the newer furniture items and it don't work
I tried a slightly older mod pack and it don't work
I tried swearing, throwing stuff, slamming doors, sacrificing my cat to the elder god and
it don't work
fished a even older pack out of my recycling bin blew on it dusted it off put it back from where I took it from and it worked

the abridged version the newest versions of this mod pack are not working

Can't confirm without further information. Please open an issue over at GitHub providing the output from debug.txt (not the whole file, only the part with the error message).

Without any kind of error message I can't help you at all. But as said: It properly loads in the currently available master version.

As announced ~20 days ago I decided to remove some of the wall recipes. The following wall recipes are available.

Image

Regular walls, pillared walls, pillared end walls, pillared corners and junctions, all pillared torch holder variants all standalone poles.

xfurniture has been merged with voxellar. Surprisingly, it doesn't add a particular delay when loading! good job!

Remember that this is still a WIP mod and things might radically change or break causing unknown nodes :)

er one request how about a lighter version of the furniture part of this
mod less strange textures like bookshelf’s empty and otherwise, chests, furnaces
I love the chairs, tables, benches, walls, different stairs etc. but the amount of stuff involved is a touch far too much for my game
please don't take what I say as a insult it isn't

Have a look at the andvanced settings, there you can add entries to the node blacklist to ignore nodes that are supported using Lua patterns.

You don’t need to code. Just go to the advanced settings and add the patterns as described. You need to read into this a little, yes :)

Yep. See https://github.com/minetest/minetest/issues/6101 and the looooong discussion in the comments of that issue :)

Maybe try limiting the nodes being generated by adding whole mods to the blacklist (modname:.*).

The older version has more objects than the current version. Mod loading unfortunately is pretty random. What other mods do you use?

no the older one which is stable which loads I have no problems with technically
but the issue is when I try and use the updated version and thats when I get the error message when the loading crashes the game

You make it really hard for me to help you because you don’t answer my questions and provide me with little to no information about your setup.

and I started using that version of the modpack on the 27th of July
and that is the version I still use since every update of this mod doesn't work

That is indeed a lot of mods.

Please load the attached mod and enable it and disable the xTend modpack for your world in question.

The attached mod opt-depends on everything from your mods list so it does not matter if it’s loaded or not. If it’s loaded the mod will be loaded before this mod. The mod counts all registered nodes and outputs the result to the command line MT was started from.

So we can see what amount of nodes could be registered before xFurniture will be loaded (mod loading is rather random when not controlled via dependency settings).

I'm sorry but after all the trouble with trying to get this mod not only more lightweight
I couldn't find the blacklist texture part that you tried to show me in the modpack
but updated I give up I'm not saying this is a bad mod but the mix of a older map
plus the amount of mods I have loaded in my world also and this is a me problem
dyslexia that turns coding into alphabet soup in my brain makes this pack not viable for me.

if someone has a fresh new world this is a brilliant mod to have I have never seen another mod that has architectural finishes in mind I love the extra details with the tables and chairs also xvessels makes obsidian creation less risky and crafting with water less of a pain in the head

Again I am sorry for being a pain

Chibi ghost wrote:I'm sorry but after all the trouble with trying to get this mod not only more lightweight
The most lightweight configuration would be fetching the latest version and adding this to your minetest.conf file (or using the advanced configuration within the client)

Code: Select all

xfurniture_blacklist = [^d][^e][^f][^a][^u][^l][^t]:.* # default:%w+_with_.*
xfurniture_objects_to_register = chairs,tables,couches,walls
This limits to chairs, tables, couches and walls and only nodes from default but no nodes of materials with stuff in or on them (ore nodes, grass nodes, etc.) so there will only be 5551 nodes registered.
