Nice building! Perhaps a bit large. If it where smaller it might be a candidate for a new village type in mg_villages.Otter wrote: Here is the sort of building that was built in towns back when the word "Saloon" was boldly painted on every other building.

Some houses for MineClone 2
Three different sizes in two versions: a) with humble wooden roof b) with richly ornamented gables.
Based on these you can build bigger or smaller ones or rows of houses.
There’s much space inside for decoration.
Variations of this design:

I will be working on copies of the sort of building they put in smaller western towns so they will fit in a 7x7 grid.Sokomine wrote:Nice building! Perhaps a bit large. Re: Share Your WorldEdit Files!
Install WorldEdit, type "//p set", punch one node at one end of what you want to save and a second one on the opposite end (build a pillar of glass to be able to punch something there if needed), type "//save nameoffile", and release the .we file here. Or use my handle_schematics mod, type "/giveme handle_schematics:build 2", place two chests at the opposite ends, follow the instructions in the menu and get a .mts file which is equally good as a .we file for sharing here.Enrikoo wrote: How do i save builds and just let release as .we file?

Re: Share Your WorldEdit Files!
This also works with the worldedit-gui, but for me only in singleplayer.Sokomine wrote:Install WorldEdit, type "//p set", punch .. type "//save nameoffile", and release the .we file here.
Online, on that one server where I have worldedit-priv (which has installed worldedit 1.1),
I get the message 'file saved', but I cannot find that file.
It should be created in the worlds-folder, but maybe the file is saved on the server only?
Or maybe there is a bug in v1.1 ?

I see some amazing schematics being posted here.
What do you think about establishing some common licensing guidelines, possibly similar to those being applied for mod releases?
I think a clear licensing status might help getting schematics reused in different contexts.

Re: Share Your WorldEdit Files!
Might be a good idea. I consider my own schematics to be released under cc-by-sa. As the general purpose here is to share those files for people who want to take a look at it in their singleplayer worlds or get inspired and copy part of it, licenses are usually less important.zeuner wrote: What do you think about establishing some common licensing guidelines, possibly similar to those being applied for mod releases?

Improved NPC buildings
I made modified versions of the NPC village buildings known from Minecraft, also used in MineClone 2; hoping they don’t look so boring and awkward as the originals.
There’s a set for MineClone 2 and for Minetest Game as well.
Including:
- Well
- Small & Large Farm
- 3 Lamp Posts
- 2 versions of Small House & Farm Shack
- Large House
- Blacksmith
- Library
- Butcher Shop
- Church
see Images here
Use and/or modify it as you wish.

Re: Share Your WorldEdit Files!
Oh yes, those houses in MC are anything but great. You are an exellent builder, but those houses are very small and do not leave much room for creative expression.PEAK wrote: hoping they don’t look so boring and awkward as the originals.
If you want to, you can pretty easily create a new village type for mg_villages that includes those new houses of yours (plus probably some slightly larger more intresting ones).

Yellow Submarine
This is my small tribute to the Liverpool Four 50 years after the release of the animated film "Yellow Submarine".
I'd like to announce launching of the world-famous music boat as a Minetest Ship.
I give you the name "Yellow Submarine". Long may you sail across seas and oceans of imagination.
____________________________________________________________
This schematics is released under the licence CC-BY-SA-NC-ND
(non-commercial and non-distributable).
Let me explain why this is to be "ND".
The first and the most important reason is that this schematics is released as a piece of art and not a schematics itself, and is intended to be used exclusively with Good Morning Craft texture pack (available for download from Minetest Forum viewtopic.php?f=4&t=16027&hilit=Good+Morning+Craft). I'd like to stress that the palette and textures of this tp are the real matter which this creation is made of. It is very important to me because I created it for its aesthetic value and the texture pack used for that purpose is inseparable from the geometric form of this voxel sculpture.
Thus I will grant permission to use it (in subgames, mods, maps and on servers) only under the condition that it uses Good Morning Craft tp.
The second reason is that I like to receive some feedback and you may be sure that I'll allow to use this schematics (even in Minecraft ;) ) when I'll be sent a request to do so. Maybe it's a little bit narcissistic, but this kind of "emotional payment" is in fact very important for any creator.
So enjoy and have fun with the only truly likeable submarine ever made. I am not sure whether she is seaworthy, but Minetest-worthy certainly is :)

MTS Framebuoyant
Here comes another ship from the Minetest Shipping Yard, a weird and somewhat uncanny comeback of zeppelins. Despite there're plenty of zeppelins re-created in Minecraft this one as I believe is one of the best done, with much attention to the general outline of the Hindenburg-class rigid airships.
Although this huge machines are not the ones most liked by me and the Hindenburg disaster (as well as other multiple less known disasters of airships with many fatalities) proved them to be unsuitable for transportation of people on the long distances, there's something mesmerizing in their majestic look. So I decided to make one more attempt to revive this legend of air travel and one of the icons of the 30's, scrapping it along the way its eerie symbolics. To make it safe for Minetest users I made it mostly nonflammable (the hull is made of steel) and as such construction by no means could be lifted by hydrogen, I replaced it with other lifting agent, much more enjoyable although sometimes also very dangerous ;)
Technical characteristics:
length: something between 350 and 355 nodes
diameter: 61 nodes
lift gas: lightheartedness
volume: no idea, but it's also huge
fuel: ragtime 4/4
powerplant: Windmills of Your Mind
maximum speed: depending on your PC when using World Edit mod for Minetest, the default is 0
useful lift: buoyant frame of mind
Enjoy!
This schematics is released under CC-BY-SA 4.0. Nevertheless please use Good Morning Craft tp for the best look.

Re: Share Your WorldEdit Files!
The yellow submarine looks great! The zeppelin is also very nice. As long as it uses helium it ought to be safe. There is a chemistry mod out there which might provide some (at least in name) :)
I'm still searching for not too complex ships that can be placed randomly on the map. Smaller submarines would also be fine.

Re: Share Your WorldEdit Files!
Nice you like her, thank you :) I'm not going to build any arms (due to my worldview) but since Minetest Shipyard is active I hope to provide some smaller (than this zeppelin :) ) boats for civil use. But this will come rather slowly because now I have to do some work for a living. And they wouldn't be much smaller then 100 nodes in length I suppose because I like to reflect curvatures in my voxel creations.Sokomine wrote:The yellow submarine looks great! Yes, I want .we of your house. It looks very stylish and well done. What are the mods used? I see nice round pillars but they don't look as ones from mymillwork mod. Also sloped roof in different angles probably is not from simplyslopes I suppose.Phoenixflo44 wrote:Write me if you want ↓ this ↓ house also as we format.
