playing with progress bar ideas

Just playing with some progress bars today. (these are just samples, so they are not perfected)
And, I have no idea how they look on mobile devices

Need to lower the progress text below the progress bar though, it should not cover the images

I would prefer a very simple progress-bar,
but with some 'hard infos' on it,
such as "x of y mods loaded".

Progress bar ideas?

Just add back the preview of all the nodes loaded, as in old versions of MT. (and of MC too i think)

Nice texture but you need to rename the one other to progress_bar_bg and one to progress_bar.

For my loading screen, nothing has changed. After the new loading textures appeared I used an older version to get the hardcoded gray&white loading box back as images. The shape is simple, neutral and the progress can be seen easily too.

I'm sure most people prefer the minimalist look better, especially due to (as some have pointed out already) that the progress text is clear and visible.
It's like hanging with a bunch of puritans..., "ewww what is that... color??" "Stand behind thee Satan!" :P

But, if the coords for that text can be set to display just under the progress bar, that might change some minds. Not all, but some.
Many will still be in a blissful romance with the nostalgia of the Colecovison era but, for me, when kilbith's PR for this was merged, it was just another door opened to graphical possibilities for some bling.
Something new to screw around with :D

Of course, I am always in a sort of "pimp my game" frame of mind.

Krock, I have not looked at the code but, is it possible to change the coords for the progress text?

Some people might faint over this visual but, in my mind, I see a pickaxe chipping away at a stone block during load time, with a crack animation progressing.

they are all just hacked samples which can be renamed as needed to try out.

simply naming most to progress_bar, and slapped into a new texture folder, and then selecting it, will use the existing progress_bar_bg, etc.
but I did also add a bg image, which uses the default cobble texture (very sloppily, I may add)

these were all literally thrown together in about 10 min, playing around with ideas, so I thought I would share them, and start a topic where people can share their fav loading images

For guys if they don't know how to make your own progress_bar texture:
If you wish have your own progress_bar texture. you need to download the paint app with the following links:
https://www.gimp.org/
http://microsoft_paint.en.downloadastro.com/
Follow the setup.
Now start finding .png files and edit it what you want wish to have your own progress_bar texture.

by the way, you can cheat by making the bar thinner and let the part where the text is blank. As I did.

Another program that does a great job creating 3d appearing graphics is Inkscape; https://inkscape.org/
I have used it to create buttons, icons, and logos.
