Enable mods in linux server-only install?

I used to know the answer to this, but i seem to forget it. How do i enable the mods in a server-only install under linux? I have the mod directories in the ~/.minetest/mods folder but i don't remember how to activate them...

modify the `world.mt` file in the server world folder, while the server is shut down.

if you are sure about your mods, simply create a worldmods/ directory in your world, add your mods and perform a restart, this way you won't need to modify the world.mt at all. :3
