... I can say it's so amazing that I can hardly find words to express how I am delighted by this awesome map.

Sad thing is, the progress seen here is now gone, I did not realize I had 2 instances of MTG open (while switching back n forth between MTG and the text editor to build the mod), and closed the wrong one by closing the window, rather than "exit to OS" x(
So now, all that exists is the lower front with one angled window.... "Ohhhhhhhffffffuuuuuuuuuudgggggge..."

It is a freakish, built-as-I-go mod I have not released.aristotle wrote:The arches/windows quality is simply AMAZING! How did you get it? A mod / a shader? IT IS JUST AWESOME!
At the moment, it is just for personal use but, I may eventually clean it up to release. Though it only adds more building nodes for creative use, I won't bother with working out recipes for any of the nodes.
I use MTG to build, not for crafting or actual game-play

Re: Post your screenshots!
I have been playing in creative mode and single player for a few weeks to learn some World Edit CLI (command line interface) and how some of my favorite mods work behind the scenes (to understand how they have been written∕developed to be so good).
Since it is my first time with World Edit I started so big that I am even scared of what it might become at the end (probably a whole life will not be enough to finish what I have begun), but at some point I decided I needed to end "sketching" and starting "drawing" instead.
I stopped copying and expanding and I started adding details to the volumes that are far from finished, though I think that their current status might be good enough to be shared and not to be ashamed of.
This is the Eastern Door aka the Elephants Door from the outside:
The Elephants Door from the inside:
Now, from the outside, on the opposite side of the first one (in the meantime the tower has been shaped a bit):
Some further details of the towers (still no windows, I am still "sculpting" the shapes):
A very rough view from the inside:
Outside, some walls details at the visitor's level:
Some stuff on the other side of the fortified walls (inside):
If you like this project, I will post some further updates in a couple of weeks or so.
BTW: as you may imagine my favorite tools are
- the circular saw
- the noncubic mod.
- VanessaE's dreambuilder modpack,
- Shara's abriglass mod (heavily used to enlighten while hiding the light sources behind∕beneath other nodes)
though I am modifying some of their code to get what I am looking for...
That's it for today!
Have fun with MT, guys!

The denizens of this old suburb apparently suffered a grim fate... Their resistance to the urbanization of their once beautiful countryside obviously failed...voxelproof wrote:And, as every true explorer knows well, there're always things to discover. Sometimes quite disturbing, like this...
So... what really happened? Where are they, and where are all other inhabitants of this apparently once thriving architectonic jewel? Maybe this map contains some clues to solve this ghastly mystery?...

Looking forward to them. You've done a really nice job, and it inspires me to go up with some projects of my own that have been delayed for some time. Very interesting architecture :) However don't forget about details -- they often bring some realistic feel to the whole structure.

Is that supposed to be Phobos or Deimos with an atmosphere? Or the author just thought that noone will figure out that the planet is Mars?GreenDimond wrote:It's always fun to find amazing skyboxes (texture by Hipshot).

Hmmm - maybe post that elsewhere ? I don't think this topic suits well for such requests.
