Cool! That should be shown/explained in a tute! I feel as if Mesecons movestone is still heavily underestimated, though with great potential.
Happy builds & explorations!

But the results are more than just agreeable, they do look very good. And the question arises -- what about a "pirate" mod with pirates (or their ghosts) guarding hidden treasure set to be found as a mission objective?

AspireMint is a very capable builder and has created a great ship plus some convincing wrecks. I'm satisifed with my ship as well. Some smaller ships would be great, too.
As to the pirates - I'd be glad if those could roam the ships. The largest problem might be the textures/skins for those pirates and sailors. The second problem would be keeping them from jumping into the water and walking the ocean floors as mobs seem to like.
A list of my mods can be found here.

Yeah, I saw his yacht schematics and it's perfect for its size.

Not a problem I think. Just attach them to a certain ship and keep them cruising around randomly with greater probability of .heading for their home ship when they're further away from her. They should also be able to jump or climb back on board. As far as textures are concerned I'd make an exception and try to make some scary thugs :->

After all those beautiful modifications, buildings, textures and miracles that can be seen here, this post probably will not make much enthusiasm. This picture is dark, and there is not much to see. It shows an ordinary cave, somewhere about -6000 level, in which two cats fly together. So, nothing special. But here are still some players who are very excited about finding cats, so maybe they will find this screenshot interesting. Found at Illuna Tech-Eth server.

Image

(It's hard to see anything because of the dark, so here you have the description. In the scene in the picture, the player move up/down onto a rope through the dark and empty space of the cave. The cave floor is visible far below and is only partially illuminated. )

I'm working on a new skybox type: "combined"

Image

Textured skyboxes meet the classic dynamic one.

I propose you not to "waste"/spend that much time on skyboxes, focus on block shaders, as they could improve the game look & feel far better.

Why? He can "waste" his own time on whatever he wants to :P

Those skyboxes look really cool though, I wouldn't consider it a waste of time. I'd like skyboxes like that to be implemented into minetest_game or the engine to be honest.

It's just a suggestion, as I thought he was working on shaders, and then I thought I could *guide* him a bit...
Of course he's a free human, no doubt ! Sorry for my rude language, not a native... I edited the post to point out better what I meant.

The explosion killed singleplayer, and his computer :P
Note killhist : In the edge, you can see that singleplayer used a green rocket to kill himself, and that he's of team blue. If singleplayer used a sword to kill singleplayer2, you'd see what sword he used, and which party both are of.

Thanks a lot, I'm really glad when someone likes what I'm trying to do. The main credit however goes to Gael de Sailly who created the terrain generator which, as he told me in some other thread, can be tweaked to achieve much better results.

This one I consider finished, and you can download Eden here: viewtopic.php?p=328349#p328349

The creeks run a little bit more realistically, however not that much as in another tweaking I've made. But after some deliberation I decided to leave it as it is now. After all most of them seem to reflect some intrinsic for these worlds properties of water and stone and look as if they submerged in subterranean cavities, flowing out near the sea level. And the mountain streams are more bounded by the law of gravity now, at least a little bit more ;)

Image

But what is really interesting, there seems to exist some sort of water pressure creating artesian springs at the sea level.

Would say...

Very nice coastline.....

Btw. what you see on the top right corner is a plateau in ca.1300 nodes height

There's a great variety in different coast types. Sometimes there're even sounds and small fiords, however smaller and not so common as in another tweaking I'm working on.

There's some mystery lurking in these snowy highlands. In a few places I spotted something that can be interpreted as a trail of an unknown and obviously invisible creature:

Image

Of course this was made by the generator, but I can't resist the feeling that it hints at some hidden behind these voxel appearances reality ;)

The moon is almost between the sun and the camera position, so it shouldn't glow.
