No worry, you may use the chance to steal the ball, while other players waving at the wasps.lightseer wrote: The whole time playing soccer you will be attacked by ducks and hornets!

This server is awesome. I'm actually a little scared to mine.bhree wrote: No worry, you may use the chance to steal the ball, while other players waving at the wasps.

Thanks lightseer, they're there to keep you entertained during mining, without them you can sleep mining like my experience.lightseer wrote: This server is awesome. I'm actually a little scared to mine.

Nice! Is it possibility to create a ball?bhree wrote:Another donation from catwhisperer77 and Mototank, a soccer field, it sure requires PvP agility, but without guns and explosives of course.

I remembered the cs_rio map of the Counter Strike 1.5.

Re: [Server] Alone in the Wild Land
It has been added and new painting dependency is compatible with the old one this will preserve gallery paintings. I thought it is a coat of arms but as jersey is OK. Thanks Cat for directing to the mod.catwhisperer77 wrote:Maybe this since we already have the painting mod: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18178

Thanks to catwhisperer for the Christmas tree, I hope everyone can enjoy their stay more, but of course celebrating Christmas with your family is the most important.

Re: [Server] Alone in the Wild Land
Joined for the first time today. Being on break and desiring a hardcore server. I can safely say this is already my favorite server that I have ever played on for the sole goal of survival. I have not really progressed much, after a decent amount of playtime.
For starters, I wandered around trying to collect wood. Then, realizing happily that I could not do it by hand, viciously attacked some leaves. I proceeded to dig dirt for rocks, made some tools, then converted over to stone tools after mining enough cobble. Just in time to turn around and have the greatest PvDUCK fight I have ever had on MT. Who knew the cute little thing would actually attack me. :( I thought he wanted a friend.
I won, with a little strategy involved. My stone pick was not really doing me justice, and the DUCK was winning. I had to seclude myself into a cavern by blocking off the entrance with dirt, leaving a hole the duck could not enter. Some 27 hits later, the duck died. Haha.
I moved around got supplies, and built a house out of glass, not wood. Dirt is ugly and wood is at a premium. Glass is transparent and would later save my life. Still no sleeping bag, so I didn't want to die. I ventured out to get some cotton seeds from the jungle grass. Unbeknownst to me, that would ultimately be a decision that nearly cost me my life, and location of my house. As I collected the grass, a spider jumped over my head and I started running. I had no clue how to beat it in the open field. I ran around in a circle back to my house, and shut the door. I never saw him again...
So many other fun adventures I had so far. I have yet to die. Which is a good thing. Thanks for some great fun so far.

Some of the more unusual things you can see in this server - water flooding in as the mapgen loads

Re: [Server] Alone in the Wild Land
Announcement
I have made a total backup of game database and all mods under games and mods directories. And I have successfully made an honest duplicate of the server based on backup data. I'm sorry this was done without asking permission from players. I only want to let you know that I really appreciate your time building in this server with all of its limitations. In addition, this gives me somewhat important points to realize and I'm glad to share:
1. The attempt of creating and restoring backup is completed and proven to be reliable if something goes wrong. There is no change in currently running game as the backup was restored on a different system.
2. I may be not going to make daily backup as the process is quite heavy of copying a large database, but twice a week is still possible.
3. Unless there are mods modification or crashing errors, backup process doesn't require shutting down the server, this will minimize downtime. Players may lose 5 to 10 minutes of on-going changes in the backup database.
4. I'm giving my word not to touch anything belongs to players inside game database including backup. I will only access my own bases and GATHER location.
5. any additional notification will be posted later.
Thanks.

Re: [Server] Alone in the Wild Land
Interesting numerological finding:
In-game 1 day and night time lapse 2 hrs day + 40 mins night = 160 mins.
If we calculate:
12(in-game months) x (30(in-game days) x 160 mins IRL / (60 mins * 24 hrs))
we have beautiful 40 days for 1 in-game year.

Great, compared to your base, I may be like living in a refugee's hut. but hey it is ok we are free to build anything. Good you remember not to give your coordinates away.
Thanks for posting.

Re: [Server] Alone in the Wild Land
AliveAI, they are quite a landscape changer. A mild griefer who always reminds us to keep eyes on our structures. Stock a little materials and patch what they've done. It keeps everything perpetually growing while we are active inside the game.
From waterfall inside a cave underground to a little messy village of box houses.

Re: [Server] Alone in the Wild Land
I walked out my door one morning and guess who I saw....
I guess either he heard that I called him a coward or instead of him being the boss of the snow biome I am xD
He did surprisingly little damage to the area (also you gotta love gimp for when you forget to turn your coords off :p)
Of course I got my prize for killing the icelamander (second item frame on the left) :D

More they fight you, more rewarding it feels. Glad to know you added your trophy. Congratulation.
