Please use Nodetimer instead of ABM's
http://dev.minetest.net/NodeTimerRef

A simple example how to use you can see in my frozenenergy mod:
https://github.com/bell07/minetest-froz ... r/init.lua

What's the advantage here? Anything related to farming uses ABM as far as I'm concerned.

I installed the current version on Dec. 11, used vessel shelf, sealed off a wooden room, and still no transformation. I've even left the admin account active in the vicinity to keep that block active.

Is there something I'm missing, or not understanding?

You should place the cans directly on the wood, afaik. Also, some products haven't got an improved version.

Thank you. I automatically used the 'shelves' as shown in the craft guide (alternate recipes). Now working fine.

I love this mod. I was thinking of a couple "upgraded" versions of food that don't already have a transformation:

Canned Corn = Creamed Corn
Canned Peas = Pea Soup or Creamed Peas

Other ideas of mixed foods: peas and onions, carrots and peas, or even mixed vegetables.

Other ideas of canned food items: pickled eggs (transforms into "Thousand Year Egg") and canned fish (transforms into fermented fish) or other meats which could transform into pickled versions as well.
Why wish upon a star when you can pray to the one who created it.

I love the idea of being able to store food in mason jars in the game, just like in real life. It adds a level of immersion and creativity to gameplay.

Canning food in glass bottles adds a nice touch, especially with the different recipes and nutritional benefits. It's great that the mod offers flexibility with optional dependencies.
I recently started playing around with canning and preserving food in real life, and it's been quite a rewarding experience. There's something satisfying about preserving your own food and knowing exactly what's in it. I've found some useful tips and hacks online, especially at https://justcanning.com/, which has been a great resource for beginners like me.
