Also idk if its a bug or feature but when I press space on water I don't only go upwards but forward as well, and with shift I go move backward and down, that happens when flying too its so annoying.

That would be the new pitch type flying mode, enabled with L button. I would've thought it'd be disabled by default but I'm not sure.
I really like the new pitch type flying mode. Especially for moving forwards (W), but seems strange with jump ([space]), or sneak ([shift]). Is there an advanced option to only have it for the forward (W) and backward key (S)?

Has the string freeze been declared yet?
If yes, then plz don't forget to do this and push one final update to Weblate (Yes, Weblate is not up to date. Again! But this time it's different).

oh man
better a fixed and understood nice working rc1,
then a fast rc2 with still some old bugs ... faster r2 doesn't mean better release
if it is not fast enough for you go learn programming and help them finding, understanding and fix bugs.
I propose there have already no any bugs that needed to be fixed for 5.0.0 as the Milestone is cleared fully and the development on dev channel is quiet recently. It can be interpreted that 5.0.0 dev cycle is finished and so it has been ready now.
Yeah I was wondering what the holdup of an RC2 was also, maybe they'll go straight to release. ^_^ Actually, right now there's work being done on the builtin statbars, so maybe that's the holdup. :D
We never promise anything in MT development, wisely.
I have been asking for RC2 to be released (i would do it if i knew how to) but the other core devs seem busy,
Anyway, apart from 1 new blocker issue that has appeared today the code is in release state, so we now really need people to compile latest MT code and test it over the next week or so.
