I also want to say that I'm lovin' the server's feature set. If it weren't for the recent lag issues, I think that it would be my all-time favourite server. The Moon, asteroids, Mars, spacesuits, digtrons, jump drives, technic, and mesecons are a great combination!

I have a digtron docking station, with a teleporting tube on it that teleports to a sorting system. Hence, I can just use my jump drive to fly my spaceship to an asteroid, mine riches with the digtron, and then dock the digtron, where its contents get sucked out and sorted into the proper chests.

I also have a factory where I can essentially input raw materials at one end and get all kinds of finished products out the other end.

Not bragging--just showing people the fun possibilities on this server. And I haven't even built a Uranium refinery yet! Hopefully, I'll get that built and going soon. :)

About the lag issues:
I ironed out most of the big lag-factors, i'm afraid we are close to the capacity-limit of minetest with that kind of mods.
It hopefully will get better with version 5.0 (which is close to release, guessing from the issue-milestone :D )

• Spacesuit is now rechargeable with air-bottles (crafting grid)
• Added a new protector-kind: priv_protector (https://git.rudin.io/minetest/priv_protector) good for public streets/places
• Added protected mesecon switch (https://github.com/pandorabox-io/meseco ... ted_switch) and button (https://github.com/pandorabox-io/meseco ... ted_button)
• Added protected mithril chest
• Updated the advtrains mod to the new TSS branch

I noticed, yesterday, that mithril chests have the same capacity as gold chests. Are there any plans to increase that? It would actually be cool if each chest upgrade doubled the capacity, but I might be asking for too much. ;)

Sure, but not in the next few days, as i'm offgrid anyway and need to test a few things first before i officially upgrade (3d-armor, entity-stuff, and some custom formspecs).
I will put up an announcement in-game and here.
Expect it to happen around the end of next week...

EDIT: There were some digtron-related restarts lately, should be fixed now...

Hello! I was looking at the tree category in the crafting guide and noticed that Redwood trees weren't part of the selection. My Brother and I love building in Redwood trees and were wondering if it's possible for the mod to be added to the server. If it's just too laggy or some bug won't allow it we perfectly understand.

The tenplus1's redwood trees are awesome, it would be cool to have them on pandorabox.
We don't have a performance problem anymore and i'm considering new mods, so that would certainly fit...
One of my problems is that we can't just "pull in" the ethereal mod, because it would break the landscape entirely.. :( (i tested that a few months back, it just looks awful)

The other problem is: time, i don't have that much time to dedicate that i can customize (rip out the redwood trees) from the ethereal mod...

What i can offer is extensive testing if anyone wants to make this...

Well. I suppose you could just add the Redwood saplings mod, then sell them so people could plant them and populate the map with the trees.

It may not be the most recent but it should do it....
Also: you may have to remove some mods that are configured in the minetest.conf, such as monitoring and mail, those won't work without certain settings...

Recent server shutdown

That was caused by a full root-partition i forgot to check.
The disks on the server:

The "/" partition filled itself slowly with an access log from the webserver.
After it was full the system-tasks could not start anymore due to no disk space to log anywhere :P

Mitigation: Limited the logfile sizes

This weeks server crashes

There were a few restarts yesterday and today related to the chat-mod (beerchat)
Those should be fixed with the latest commits (https://github.com/pandorabox-io/beerch ... 86611cdaaf and https://github.com/pandorabox-io/beerch ... 57946ff4a4)

Griefing

There were a few instance of griefing, noticeably:

• Lava-Water-griefing in "Starter town" (aka noobtown)
• Woodcutting griefing in "Fruitland" -> Please protect the entire tree if you are living in there :D

Mitigation: I intend to write a mod to clean the lava/water/stone spills somewhat better without interfering in existing setups (stone-generators)
