Tunnelers' Abyss

Welcome to the server Tunnelers' Abyss! We have trains, cave biomes, epic terrain, more block shapes, technic, more bricks, pets, fosils, dragons and many more.

Our server is kid-friendly™. Some skins from the database are modified accordingly.

Excerpt from server rules:
  • The server is hosted in the Czech Republic. Any illegal activity will be banned.
  • No griefing, no stealing. If it's not yours, just let it be.
  • Perverts will not be tolerated.
  • No spamming, no screaming. You don't have to repeat yourself.
  • If you build in a hilly landscape, you do not flattern it. There is a lot of flat plains all around.
  • Do not needlessly cuss.
Complete set of rules and other information can be found near the spawn point.
TIP: Don't ignore signs! If you start by climbing the mountains, you weren't reading well.

Hi gpcf, I see you found the server. For others who might have trouble finding it, the address is 37.46.208.34 at port 30000. We run on v5.0.1.

I made another map. Next time, I need to find a way to map the server without making the server crash.

MINI-SERVERS
So called mini-servers are pieces of land pre-generated by a different mapgen imported to server's map. There will be three: Tunnelers' Paradise, Tunnelers' Outback and Tunnelers' Safari. Tunnelers' Paradise is already working, Tunnelers' Outback is coming soon.

Tunnelers' Paradise
This mini-server is 4km² big and uses aotearoa, the New Zealand mapgen. To get there, use the teleporter at spawn.

MINI-SERVERS --- UPDATE

Tunnelers' Outback
This mini-server is 9km² big and uses australia's mapgen. To get there, use the travelnet at Spawn.
Image

UPDATE: I've now got all of Tunnelers' Safari exported from my computer, it will be 22.5km² big, the largest Mini-Server that I will make from my computer. It uses my own mapgen which I created for the occasion.
As an interesting note, we have 147 tree species now :-)

Pine nuts and seed cakes give me hearts when I eat them but not any hunger points so I ended up starving. Haven't eaten any other foods yet.

Excited about the Aotearoa area. :D

Thanks for the bug report, it will be fixed in a few days :-) A few of the foods are buggy, I can make a hotfix though. Glad you like the mini-servers!

Most of the foods work, there are a few that don't -- but you won't starve here. We made the feature, that there is no way you can die by starving. You can only die by getting hurt by something.

Here is a sneak-peek at Tunnelers' Safari. I'm still perfecting the mapgen, but here's what the flooded grassland should look like :)

To Do:
Fix Jungle biome
Fix desert_sand and default:sand biome / dragonblood & palm & sycamorefig trees

I banned you because you were perverting the server. Several Christians were heavily offended. I kicked you 4 times before the ban, so you had time to think about what you wanted. Plenty of unbelievers play this server and they are great. Its sad that this new generation of youth has to be so un-subtle! You didn't have to use such sexual and inappropriate language, promoting it, and I warned you 4 times as mentioned above. I actually thought the ban message was pretty funny, since it was 'on-topic' ... but ah well.
Any further discussion on this topic will be disregarded and/or reported. I have every bit of the chat log saved for further use, if you decide to probe further.
Right there in the rules "Perverts will not be tolerated". You should be more-or-less glad that I gave you 4 kicks before I actually obeyed my own rule. Also, this is only the second ban I've ever made ... so give yourself a pat on the back!

Thats quite a lot of lies right there, be careful not to choke on them!

1. You were the only player who was offended, in fact we were the only online players talking.
2. I did not use any sexual language, im against bring that subject up in public chat on any server, and the only thing i said you called "inapropriate language" was saying "omg"
3. Reporting for what, disagreeing with you? ;)
4. those 4 kicks had the most vague messages to go with them, like "false doctrine".

EDIT: It is clear you dont know how to handle administrating a server.

I am sure I will not get banned, as as this screenshot tell me sure not to join here.
OMneG = Ohh, my not existing Good.
Things like believing should definitely not be any kind of discussion in a game. But it seams that some persons also have a huge problem to just keep cool and believe or not, but never ! force others to change there mind !!!

At last, OMG is WRONG - OEG might be better. Oh everyone's (believers) Good !

And this Good even let die innocent people every day. Hmmm ...

I was on vacations until today. I have read chat log of whole the event. Until today, I had only vague thoughts of what the players believe in. In fact, I was sure only in two cases: me and CalebJ. Even though I'm almost sure that some of the players are atheists, they are all fine with the rules.

This was the first case when a player was banned for religion-related issues. After I read the log, I found that the punishment was justify. If the Minetest Forum developers agree, I will share the logs here. Stix provoked CalebJ multiple times. Also, I saw that more players were active in the chat and there were even more players online. Stix, if you want to continue your discussion (on a philosophy forum), I'm willing to provide the full log of whole the event.

From my personal perspective, there are several problems with doing this:

- First of all, you are required to follow Minetest's community rules. Posting something that might violate the rules and that would not be appropriate, for obvious reasons.

- Second of all, posting a one-sided view of a personal conflict has a large chance of becoming "he said she said" and IMHO is not appropriate.

- Even if the other party agrees on that these logs are correct, it may violate community standards in some way

- Server logs often omit context and other relevant information, such as what environment the player was at the time, text on signs, etc.. Nor do logs appropriately reflect history - for example: party B lashes out against party A, but weeks before party A was bullying party B slowly over time.

Most importantly, this all seems counterproductive and not worth the time. If you feel you have to post it, there are plenty of places that you can post logs that do not require you to follow MT forum rules. But honestly this thread would be better served by talking about the positive things on this server than a long debate about one conflict that happened on it.

Sofar, we don't plan to post the logs here. We just want to note, that if Stix wants to push this further, that we have evidence to the contrary. :) Thanks for your opinion.

Thanks for your opinion. This wasn't meant to violate the community rules. I was only unsure whether this is allowed or not. A simple yes/no answer would be sufficient.

In my personal opinion, you can not make a simple yes/no assessment unless everyone can understand the full context and history - on top of the content that is to be posted. Right now, only you have this information, and nobody else does.

Hume2 asked if it was OK to do so, to which I posted my opinion. He asked for "the Minetest Developers to agree. I gave him the opinion he asked for (a tentative disagreement, nonetheless).

He certainly would have posted the logs already if he thought the opinion of Minetest Developers didn't matter, because he stated the following:
Hume2 wrote:If the Minetest Forum developers agree, I will share the logs here.
In other words, he most certainly was planning to do so.

BTW I'm not clearvoyant. I'm just attempting to read the sentences written here by folks, and doing my best to write logical and correct english. If you're reading or interpreting it differently than me, perhaps that's because I'm not a native english speaker?
