Papyrus slow to grow and nowhere to be found

guys good morning everyone, sorry if I'm always complaining and sorry my bad English, as the title suggests, I can't find the papyrus, in travel hours only 5 pieces, I'm trying to make it grow but it grows very little in 3 days I managed to get only 3 more pieces.
What should I do? as server map I use V7.

It all depends on the map seed in use, sometimes you have a little and others you'll find loads, but it is definitely there... One solution is to add your own papyrus to the map in the form of a decoration mod.

Papyrus is indeed hard to find. Last time I found large quantities next to shallow savannah beaches.

… but after you found it, it is just a matter of time until you can fill multiple chests with full stacks of it.

Papyrus is only found in the savanna biome, and it may take you a while to find. but then, it is good to have a reason to explore and travel.
Tip: The savanna biome is a neighbour biome to rainforest, grassland and (orange sand) desert biomes.
I will consider adding it to a second biome, rainforest would be ideal.
