Any way to control vertical rendering distance?

I know you can control rendering distance, but it doesn't affect the vertical distance at all, making it stay the same.

Rendering distance is measured the same in all directions (sphere-like with many edges). There's no specific setting to control the rendering distance only for the Y axis.

Why do you believe the vertical rendering distance is not affected at all? Because that's not true.

Yes, view range is uniform in all directions.
Do you mean view range or map generation distance (which is also uniform)?
