Ok, I'll work around those lines then. Though I kinda like the rear-piece (or, more precisely, being able to tell its front from its rear)

Doesn't run. Running 0.4.4, I have had this problem with many of your mods before and it is incredibly annoying. Any ideas at all? I was really looking forward to actually having boats, but it doesn't work.
I love exploring minetest worlds :D

You have to rename the "boats-master" folder to "boats". ;)

The thing on the back looks like a rudder! It's a nice addition to a boat. Perhaps there can be diffrent models? The larger one isn't bad either. Plus the smaller one as a raft. Or - for those people who don't want to build a boat - floating horizontal trees.

What I'd love to see are multiple-person boats, and possibly a response to stroke rhythm since power is obviously coming from the player. 'twould be useful for boat races/regattas.

Unsure if this is an issue with boats mod or carts mod but.. it seems that on random boats appear on rails where carts WERE or ARE. Also seems boats appear where they used to be when you hop on one and go boating (doesn't always happen but it does occasionally).

With all this talk about models, some sort of 3-d api that allows a 3-d array to specify the model (voxel based) would be useful.

Same problem here, but I think it's related to the engine, not the mods
Maybe the attachment thing should be redone from the beginning...

It also appears that at least once a boat has appeared in a stack of broken blocks (item_drop). I was digging out a basement and there was a floating stack of broken blocks and when I hit them to get them, a boat appeared. I must say I was rather startled.

This is an bug in the attachment code in the engine.

Could you make the boat speed a tad faster and the turning faster also. It takes way too long to turn around.

On servers its slower in turning.

How do you get off the boat?

Nevermind, The game must have crashed before I tried getting off earlier. I tried again on a new map and was able to use the boat without difficulty.

I think there should be an option to use either model
P.S.I like the big boat model btw if its too big why not shrink it?

I think that would be cool but the cart takes the recipe that would be expected so maybe if we add two ingots to the left and right side

I had to sadly remove boats from the server because for some reason it started crashing the server on startup. Can't remember the error but it was something to do with "on_step". Whenever next version comes out I'll try again.
