need help

hey im new playing and i wanna download mods but i dont know how to put them
in the game :\ if you can tell or show me how i would realy appritiate it tnx

Put them to data/mods folder, if you have run-in-place installation. Or to .minetest/usermods (if I don't mistake) in your home dir, you not run-in-place.
Of cource you need 0.4 to run mods.

Get it from git and compile yourself. Many mods require the latest version. The repository link is on the main page. You can also wait for the new version, that will be released today (but you'll have to wait for the mods to be updated to it).

i downloaded the 0.4 version but i cant find the application to run the actual game
