[Mod] ClayCrafter [1.0][claycrafter]

ClayCrafter:

The ClayCrafter mod adds a way for players to obtain clay other than mining, out of a common material: dirt. It adds three new nodes:
Image Claycrafter: Used to convert compressed dirt into clay
Image Compressed dirt: Just 9 dirt, compressed, useful for saving storage space, too!
Image Glass of water: Used as fuel for the Claycrafter

How to:
The Claycrafter works pretty much like a furnace, it uses glasses of water as fuel to convert compressed dirt into clay.

Crafting:
The crafts are cheap and simple, as it's meant to encourage the usage and accesibility of clay.
Compressed dirt is also a good way to save up on storage space, you can get your dirt back later after compressing it.

I really like the concept.
I love making my house with bricks, but in MGv7 I have the feeling that clay is not as easy to find than before.
On the other hand, I've got a lot of dirt without knowing what to do with it...

I'm working on a fork of this mod. I'll be attempting to convert it to using a water tank.

Testing will be done at lumaria.duckdns.org 30001 <-- This is not Lumaria.

Good idea. There's always much more useless dirt clobbing the inventory - while decorative clay (both in block form and as brick blocks) tends to be more rare than the texture deserves.

Updated the mod (after 4 years, yes) and fixed most, if not all, of the issues. It was already usable in the latest version, but it did have some small things that needed updating.

Not feeling like updating the original post, since it makes me feel nostalgic, and all the info is correct...
Except for the part that says "It adds two nodes and one craftitem", it is now three nodes.

Should be perfectly usable (already was, really hahaha). Enjoy!

Changelog:
  • Updated textures of the glass of water to match the one from the vessels mod.
  • Updated screenshot.png.
  • The glass of water is now a placeable node, much like other flasks and such.
  • Increased the time it takes to convert compressed dirt into clay.
  • Glasses can now be emptied out by using them.
  • Fixed a bug where the Claycrafter wouldn't turn off if the output was full (cosmetic).
  • Added crafting recipe to uncompress dirt.
  • Updated mod.conf to be up to date.
  • Deleted description.txt and depends.txt.
