[mod] Cloudscape [cloudscape]

by duane » Tue Apr 04, 2017 01:30

This mod adds a layer of solid clouds with plants, trees, and water on top. (Where did you think rain comes from?) It's very easy to fall through holes in the cloud-cover if you don't pay attention, so watch your step.

The altitude is controlled by a variable in init.lua, and defaults to about 4000 meters. How you get up there is your business, but I might incorporate a teleporter or work with an existing teleport mod at some point.

The source is available on github.

Good mod. I guess we will have to wait for some portal before quit using /fly and /teleport.

The clouds are good, but they looks like a steam in the sky.Would be better if would you make cumulus and layeres clouds, but your clouds only are cirrus

They have to be practical to walk on, and the way they're generated mirrors the top and bottom.

Duane, all you do is mod some of the best mapgen mods that I've seen for minetest.

This was the inspiration for the lake terrain in mgv7 floatlands.

Looks very nice! But...but...trees and grass up in the clouds? *trying to suppress disbelief* *falling through the clouds* :-)
