Thanks!
They decay as usual once that there are no more tree nodes around.

I've tried that but the outcome was not acceptable; it either dropped leaves as items (thus preventing saplings' drops) or placed them on the ground preventing their decay - last but not least, the worst is that touching a single leaf node in a wood would start a domino effect making each and every other leaf node in range to fall, even from other trees. You can imagine the mess.

Long story short: trunks fall in a convenient manner, leaves decay per-tree as usual - I'm satisfied with that.

Side note: so far even grabbing an apple makes its nearest branch fall, I don't like it but I'll swallow it pretending that my character is so clumsy that breaks branches while harvesting apples. :)

that nice! do you know sandplus mod? I'm not sure it's THAT mod but if i remember it adds new falling node types, like attached... the leaves would be attached to the trunk like that.

The only problem I could see with that is this. In some cases I've seen trees so close together that the trees are touching. Now I don't have much knowledge on the actual program but oh well.
Today is a wonderful day to make a good yesterday for tomorrow

Yes I see what you mean. Imagine you cut the trees of a whole forest and on the last trunk... *swoof* all leaves fall... Normally I think you can also make blocks if they are near another like for leaf decay!
