Just place a samer node, rightclick it to open its formspec, look to the help page, write some code in lua and run it.

For all currently available functions look into the ingame help.

I love Hobby Drones! They are awesome! Also I love FPV rc cars!!!

It looks like a weird hybrid of a player model, bed and a chest. What does it do?
What is SCP-055 again? I forgot.

Read the title, it's a robot that can sleep.
@Chem871: Where do you see the bed? The samer uses the chest as storage, sam's legs are used to walk and sam's arm is used to interact.

What do you need to craft such a robot?
1 chest, some steel , 4 feet and 1 hand.

The robot is currently not craftable.
I made the model like this because these body parts also work for sam, so why shouldn't a robot be able to use them, too?

Update:
  • An entity is used.
  • An ingame help was added.
  • The samer is now animated.

another update:
  • It's safe now.
  • The environment is now filled with many helpers.
  • Digging, getting nodes and moving is now possible forwards, up and down.
This mod can be tested now pretty well.
The only thing left to do is implementing functions to control the robot and fixing small things.

What a luck for you that a mod that adds a robot that can sleep appears at the time when you need it.
Else:
If you don't know what sleeping means in this context, sleeping is the pause, the robot takes while executing its code. When it wakes up again, it will continue executing at the point where it stopped.

Why don't modders write basic and understandable descriptions anymore? :-(

In my opinion, it's obvious what the mod does.
It adds a robot called "samer" (probably because it should simulate a player) which can be programed like the basic robot. In addition, the robot can be manipulated, sleep and exit (whatever that means).
Nevertheless, there is a description on github.
Can your read this?

I'm not good at giving names. I called it "samer" because it uses Sam's body parts the same way as Sam does. But I needed a reason to make the s small.
