Autowalk function

Hi, I am new here!
because it's an exploration game, it will good to add tap to walk function so player not keep holding button. I am afraid to broke my keys again.

If you're on Windows, there's an "auto-key" function. Enable it and then press quickly "W" and "Fn" keys consecutively. To return to the standard key behaviour just tap "W" again.

Minetest 5.0 also includes auto-forward.

Yes I am using windows, as I remember that's auto tapping, not holding.

0.5 can varies a little from 0.4.17, eg some mods can mess etc...

if you dont find downloads, just click a arrow to right at the page https://gitlab.com/minetest/minetest/pipelines and get a list of builds

Minetest 5.0 is not released yet. Maybe Q1/2019 due to the lack of development time.

keymap_autorun = KEY_KEY_L
And press L in game.

Unfortunately, auto-forward don't works on boat, this would be the best function of auto-foward.

This mode is new to me.
Hold forward(W), press backward(S) (until "[boats] Cruise on" appears in chat, then release backward(S)), then release forward(W).

I am using a magnetic Iron ball, 1.5 cm ... onto "w" works perfect when my finger get hurt as of 40.000 nodes forward

The 'auto forward' keybind in the MT engine now works for MTG boat, or any vehicle.
Oddly, 'auto forward' is still not bound to a key by default, you need to do that in settings.
