??? On a phone app , ore phone i guess you just play and join servers,
that doesn't fix to my intention that server owners area aware of if their used Mods are 5.0.0 save,
or are you hosting a mts on a phone ? or only playing it yourself on your phone, private ?

but as using mt 5.0.0 client, where is the advantage ?

The server IS migrated to 5.0.0 and has all old mods,
or the server is still 0.4.x whatever a gamer wishes ...

can you explain me ?

I play single player on the phone, so I don't know what mods or client the other servers have.

In that case, I think, if your still happy with that version keep it ! If You don't need to be compatible, if sometime play on newer 5.0.0 servers, your fine with this.
Never change a working/running system.
I own minetest.one and offer a Minetestserver called Thailand Minetest.one (5.1.0-dev) on server.minetest.one.

Can you bring back simple arrow controls from previous Android version? Playing using virtual joystick is terrible, also I can't tap inventory button.

You may find the fixed mode easier - I do.

fixed_virtual_joystick = true

(you can use the advanced setting menu)

It means you don't need to drag to move, but just need to tap as before

Not true, it is in a better state than Minetest 0.4.

Server issues allowing more exploitations,

Not true. 5.0.0 adds CSM restrictions so that a server can control what CSM a client uses, 0.4 couldn't do that.

Most mods are unaffected by upgrading to 5.0.0, for the few that are, versions for 5.0.0 may already exist.
5.0.0 generally does not break mods.

If you plan on getting MT 5.0.0 for mobile, here are a few things you should consider:
Many mods are compatible, nearly all of mine (released and unreleased) have no issues at all
Make sure you get the official client. Many unofficial clients may include malware, or cheats (Also, don't get Multicraft)
Mobile clients may have many more bugs, and not be as up-to-date with MT for PCs
I feel as that you should choose MT4 if you still play on "old" servers, or MT5 if you want to play on newer servers. Please note that many server owners have switched their servers to MT5 (such as rubenwardy and others).
If you don't like something I say, you are too easily offended...
