NEXTGEN TINTED GLASS
Hello again everyone! Today I present you Nextgen Tinted Glass!
I thought Minecraft's tinted glass was a neat idea, so I implemented a very similar block into Minetest. How this block works, is it's like a normal piece of glass but doesn't allow light to pass through. Check the gallery for crafting the recipe and a picture of what a one-way-looking glass room would look like. Enjoy!

could you publish that contentDB. If you do not know how to then: click on sign in, register or sign in. after you sign in/ register, click on the + button on the nav-bar. In the VCS Repository URL, enter:https://github.com/starninjas/nextgen_tinted_glass. That will not fill any-thing in as you do not have a mod.conf file, but it makes it easier.StarNinjas wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 22:55NEXTGEN TINTED GLASS

Re: [Mod] Tinted Glass [nextgen_tinted_glass]
I'm going to try this for an underwater garden that I'm getting ready to add onto my main base. I already tested the tinted glass, and I like it. Just my thought, but I had the impression thats what obsidian glass was until I tested it the other day. I wanted to use this for my garden so the light doesn't drown out all the darkness completely, but it might anyway. Going to be using 64 light nodes in there, so I'm curious... Either way it will be fun.

I'm glad you don't mind! =) But this forum rejects my 1080p screenshots but doesn't seem to mind them if resized. So I just resize them online, takes a couple seconds... I like how the lights do not light up the whole area underwater. I'm no expert at designing underwater bases but am working at improving my skills. This mod, the sponge mod, and air tanks have me build this!
I'm going to post 2 screenshots. The first is the main room, using normal glass. It lights up the area around it quite a bit even though it only uses 2 light nodes. The second is the underwater garden. It actually lights up the surrounding area less even though it uses 64 light nodes! Proof the tinted glass works!

Re: [Mod] Tinted Glass [nextgen_tinted_glass]
Thank you, but I'm still an amateur! I was hunting youtube videos about underwater bases, and I've seen some way more complex and technical than mine. I always go for simple = functional. But I use this guy named Richard Jeffries for inspiration. What he builds is amazing. I can't get my mind to work quite on the scale of what he built yet. Video is 5 years old, but he is a great architect:
